Consultant Egon Zehnder
Shauna McIntyre is a consultant with Egon Zehnder International, a leading professional services firm that specializes in board and executive-level consulting and executive search. Based in Palo Alto, Shauna leads the firm’s US Automotive Practice. Her client base spans small to mid-cap businesses to Fortune 500 companies located around the world, both traditional automotive manufacturers, as well as digital disruptors.
Prior to joining Egon Zehnder, Shauna spent nearly 20 years in the automotive industry at the OEM, Tier 1, and startup levels with focus on developing and launching innovative new products and technologies. She began her professional career at Ford Motor Company where she led plant expansion and lean manufacturing projects globally. Later, back in the US, she led truck final assembly in a unionized setting on both night and day shifts. As a Vice President with Honeywell Turbocharger Technologies, she led a global expansion strategy, which doubled the size of company’s commercial vehicle turbocharger business. While leading global Product Engineering for the business, she launched new engineering centers around the world to satisfy a rapidly expanding customer base.
Most recently, she held senior executive roles with Sequoia Capital and other venture-backed start-ups focused on novel automotive technologies. During this time, she co-founded the North American Council for Freight Efficiency where she served on the organization’s Board of Directors. Shauna earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles; an MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley; and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
